Copy Rows to Another Sheet

Are the cells on the same row? You can use a copy to workflow, then hide the extraneous columns.

Hi Jane,
You can either use the copy row automation or a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH formula.
Would any of those options work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

I commented that the hide columns solutions would not work, but that turned out to be easier way to deal with this issue. I do have a question about the VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH formulas. It appears that a specific row needs to be identified, when I am looking for a copy function when a new row is added to the "copy from" sheet. Would either of those work for a new row copy?
-
Yes. Index match is a faster and more versatile version of Vlookup, but they both perform the same function, so you can use either, but I recommend learning index match.
To handle new rows you need to use column references rather than row references.
an example where the columns name is "A" would be:
row reference:
A1:A20
Column reference:
A:A

I saw that it got answered already!
Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Is it not possible to just Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V the contents of a cell or cells from one sheet to another?

Hi @JohnGM
I hope you're well and safe!
In most cases, it should work just fine to copy/paste.
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!
