Agreed! I also would like to see the link to the sheet removed.

  • Hello

I understand your concern as I faced a similar issue recently. Unfortunately, Smartsheet's automated email notifications include the source sheet link by default, and there is currently no direct option within Smartsheet to remove it.

However, I found a workaround that might help you achieve the desired outcome. You can use the "Advanced Email" feature in Smartsheet to customize the content of automated email notifications. By creating a custom email template using placeholders, you can provide specific information without the source sheet link.

You can also ask for help here : https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/92481/from-email-name-for-smartsheet-automations

I can relate to the issue you're facing, especially in the context of Salesforce CPQ integration with Smartsheet. The default automated email notifications in Smartsheet often include the source sheet link, which may not always be ideal for specific workflows.

    Thank you.

  • I also VERY MUCH want the ability to remove the link to the source sheet in Alert automation emails.

There isn't always a reason for our staff to have links to source sheets. And there's never a reason for the public to have access to them either. All they typically need are just the specific fields we want them to see.

Enhancement request sent, but considering this thread is three years old, I don't have much hope.

I happened to be looking at this, just this morning, to see if it was coming. Apparently it made it to the roadmap in December 2022, so could be coming.... 🤞

Four years later and it's still a mess. For example, you can't send an attachment UNLESS you include link to the sheet. Which wouldn't be as much of a problem but the design of this email is horrible and we have no control over it. How's everyone using this feature to produce somewhat decent professional emails? I'd love to connect with you.

All this information should be at least optional to send, including the link to the sheet itself. Everyone click on the first giant blue link to the sheet.
