Form Default range
Hi, I would like to build forms with default minimum and maximum values and I would like the form to send me an email only for the values which are out of range. The min and max will be mainly numbers for different equipment. If the out of range items can be highlighted red, that will be great.
Also, If I can display the form status like form use frequency and completion rates as there will be many forms like above. This can on dashboard or reports.
Please let me know the simplest way to build and manage these forms.
Thanks

Hi,
You can show if it’s out of range and color the cells in the sheet after the form is submitted and have alerts automatically sent.
If you add the System column, Created, you can use that to calculate further.
Make sense?
Would that work?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

Hi Andrée,
I think you you are referring to:
Insert column >Auto-number/ System> Created Date. Please correct if I am wrong.
Please clarify what feature will compare the row values and highlight it red.
Also I don't see a condition alert which can only alert the red highlighted rows.
I appreciate your help
Thanks

Yes, that is correct. It's the Created (Date) option.
How many ranges can you have? We'd need to add the so-called helper column or helper columns and then use them for triggering the conditional formatting and alerts.
Make sense?

Hi Andrée,
There are about 20 field readings, each with a min/ max range. Are these helper columns on the Smart sheet but not on the form?
Thanks for your help.

Happy to help!
Yes, it's on the sheet, but we could maybe use a table to make it more efficient.
What do you think?

Hi, is there simpler way to achieve this, seems like there will be 20 columns with 20 formulas to re-populate with new row submissions.
Thanks
-
As a possible workaround, we may be able to use a table structure either on the same sheet or in a separate sheet.
What do you think?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!
