Automated alerts to contact column when contact has changed

I have an automated alert sent daily when "rows are added or changed" to the person in the contact columns "Assigned to" and "Assigned to Assist." I've had instances where Person A was assigned to a task in error. It would be corrected by re-assigning the task to Person B but Person A still revceived an alert telling them they had been assigned to a task. I presumed that changing the alert frequency from "when triggered" to "daily" would have prevented this. Is my assumption incorrect and is there a solution?

    Hi Jamila,

    As long as they don’t save, it won't trigger, but changing it do Daily would give some time to go back and change it.
