Column Properties keeps reverting to date

Even after I have set the column property to Text and saved the sheet, the next time I access the sheet, the properties have again reverted to Date. Any ideas on how to correct this?

Have you checked the Activity Log for clues why it’s happening?

Hello Andree,

I too am having the same issue. I check the activity log and in some cases it is a published user that is triggering the change and in other cases it is an individual who is neither Owner or Admin. According to the Sharing permission levels on sheets only Admins and Owners are able to insert, rename & delete columns, change column properties. I can not lock the column as I need collaborators to add data so I only want to restrict them from changing the column property.
