PDF Markups and Comment Sidebar not Showing in Proof

I’m hoping to upload proofs in Smartsheet so the Comments pane shows up in the proof in addition to any markups made. These comments and markups need to be viewed as part of the proof in order to respond to the proof.

I’m saving it that way in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and uploading to the row, but it shows up as this: 

And I need it to show up as (with markup, comments, etc.)

Any tips or tricks are appreciated! We are working on an audit.

Isn't there an option in Acrobat where you can show the annotations and save the document with it?

Based on the Screenshot, it appears that in Smartsheet, it's only showing a section that required a change, and didn't show the Comment made.

You may want to have the Proof reviewer ensure that when leaving a comment about a section, that they select the Blue arrow in the bottom right of the Proof Comment Box.

Here's an example of what should show when a Proof has been made with a comment:

As you can see, once the proof has been made and after I refreshed the Sheet, accessing the Proof on Row 3 presented the change requested, and showed a number on the Document to associate with the comment made. Thanks however, I am referring to the actual comments in the PDF. I want to be able to display the comments on the PDF proof itself (see again below) so when reviewed, the person can markup the comments in Smartsheet:

this is the view I want in the actual proof in Smartsheet, not just a PDF.

Hello @JenS ,

At this time, I believe this may not be possible as the Smartsheet proofing feature is to be used purely for proofing only in Smartsheet, rather than having other external annotations visible on the raw PDF.

With this, you may wish to raise an Enhancement Request to our Product Team here
