What does the circle with the contact's initials mean?

Some of the names of staff members on my dashboard have a coloured circle next to them with their initials and others don't. I can't work out why?

The circle with the initials indicates that this field is a Contact in Smartsheet - so the users with this circle are set up a contact in a Contact List column (see here). They have a name & email associated, and can have automations sent to that contact.

If some of the names don't have this circle, it's possible that their name was either entered in a Text/Number type of column, or that they have a name entered as text in a Contact Column without having an email associated. (See here for more information on "My Contacts" in Smartsheet.)

You will need to update this by going to the source sheet where the data is coming from and making sure there's an email associated with each Contact.
