Data missing when moving rows?
Hi there,
Has anyone noticed an issue with data missing when moving a row from one sheet to another? I have an automation that moves older rows in one sheet to an archive sheet once a month. However, it appears that data in at least one of the columns is missing. Any ideas what might cause this?
Thanks!
Jackie

Hi @jmhoward
I haven’t seen that issue.
Strange!
What kind of data is missing?
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hi Andrée,
Thanks for your response! We're a publisher have sheets that we use to keep track of all the content we have in our pipeline. We have 35 columns on the active sheet. We have an archive sheet as well, with the same columns, where we move rows related to content that is 13 months old or older. The moving happens via an automation. Both sheets have a variety of columns, but most are text or contact.
One of the columns is for the copy editor. This is a contact column, single select. While the active sheet shows all the correct data, the column in the archive sheet does not have any data. When I click on a Copy Editor cell to view history, I get a message that there isn't any history for that cell.
The other odd thing is that this field doesn't show in the same place in the active and archive sheets, even though the Copy Editor column has always been a part of the sheet. The active sheets were created back in 2019 and contained data from 2018 on, but I just started archiving content that was 13 months old or older in March of this year.
To create the archive sheet, I just did a save as new for the active sheet, but I didn't include the data in the new sheet. I have 5 sets of these active/archive sheets for different publishing groups. In some cases the Copy Editor column is hidden, but that's not the case for all of the sets. But in every case, the Copy Editor data is missing from the archive sheets.

Strange!
I'd be happy to take a quick look.
Can you maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s)? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)
