Does deleting information from a cell not count as "when a row is changed"?

Hello, community,

I have my automation trigger set as "when a row is changed" in a certain field, but I noticed that deleting information from that field does not trigger the automation. Does information removal somehow not count as a "change"? If not, how do I set an automation when only certain fields are deleted (not the entire row)?
