Can Forms capture the email of the submitter?
If I send a form to someone that does not have a Smartsheet license or is not or cannot log into Smartsheet, is there a way I can record the email address of the person that submitted the form?
I seem to remember a lesson or video where you could set a hidden item (so the person that fills out the form does not see it) to capture the email of the person filling out the form.
Is this just wishful thinking? Am I dreaming or is it actually possible?

This is currently not possible. I would suggest either requiring an email input field that is set up as a contact type field, or requiring clients to create a free smartsheet account and forcing users to sign in before filling out the form.

Thanks Mike. I feared I was dreaming. I think I will submit this idea for possible inclusion in future releases. =)

I was able to do this today.
- In my sheet I created a new column with the type being Auto Number/System. I then chose Created By.
- In the Form settings, I require SS users to be logged into SS.
The next time the form is submitted it captures the email address of the submitter.

Thank you Brian!
I too eventually did find that too, but we don't want to require executives to log into Smartsheet.
Cheers!
