After someone fills out my "Request an Update" after the original denial, how does it get sent back for another approval?

A solution I've used is with a checkbox helper column I typically label as Resubmit. This column will be part of the update request going back to the user after the denial and I give instruction in the update email to check this box.
In a separate workflow, (cleverly titled Resubmit Workflow), the checked checkbox triggers the approval process. I usually have the Condition set where the approval field = denied.
