How can I automatically import updated data in to an existing Smartheet created by Excel import.
I created a Smartsheet by importing data from an Excel worksheet in order to create a dashboard. How can I import updated data from Excel into the existing Smartsheet so that the dashboard is automatically updated?

Yes it would but whats the additional cost?

Hi @safdar rashid,
it's several thousand dollars per annum and can do much more than just import data from one source, but you will need to talk to your Smartsheet partner or your Smartsheet customer success agent for more details and pricing.
Hope this helps

To add to Stefan's excellent advice/answer.
Another option would be something I developed for a client recently that might work for you as well. (It depends on the structure and how much data you'd need to update)
You'd use what I call a Smartsheet import Sheet as the base for the imported data and it will be connected to the Dashboard. The data from Excel would be copied and pasted to the import sheet.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week & Happy Holidays!

Thanks Andree. Copying and pasting would be a cumbersome way of doing it. In addition, I would be looking to import data for many projects in to their respective sheets so it would also be time consuming.

You're more than welcome!
Then the best option is either Stefan's suggestion of Data Uploader or Smartsheet´s API.

Smartsheet charges $ thousands of extra dollars to patch a core failure in their product.
