Report / Dashboard - Grouping option not working

I added a grouping in a report to organize the display in a dashboard. I want to group the report by type of project and for each type of project sort by go live date.

When I am in the report, the grouping works. However when I pull the report in a dashboard, the grouping is not taken into account, only the sort by go live date. I tried to use the sort option but type of project option is not available. I tried to select the report again in the dashboard, still not working.

Any idea what is going on and how to solve / workaround this issue?

Hi,

I figured it out: the grouping does not work in the widget yet. I needed to add the column to sort by in the report (and hide it) to be able to add a second filter.

I was just searching for this issue. Disappointed the answer is that the new feature doesn't work when adding a report to a Dashboard...does anyone from SmartSheet have an ETA on when the features will be connected?

It looks as of 05/17/21 the grouping on reports on dashboards has been released!
