Copy row to another sheet - created date

Hi,

I was having 2 smartsheet and usually when there is a need the row will be copy to another sheet by using automation.

And at the new sheet I am trying to sort "created date" (the auto Number/system) as descending to let the new copy row to be on top of the smartsheet. But I found out the "created date" column was the date that created at the original smartsheet.

Is there anyway or possible to make copy row to new sheet with new auto created date? So that we can know which request is the new request that has been added in.

I'm having the same issue however...what if I want to know the date that the record was copied to the new sheet even after subsequent modifications have been made to that record in the new sheet?

Is the only answer to NOT have a column of type "Created date" in the source sheet?

You could add a Workflow with the Record a Date Action.
