Multiple selections from drop-down list, enhance database function

This is MUST have feature for any serious sheet. 

I think i found people who make make add-in for multiple dropdown for smartsheet

+1 I need this functionality baaaadly. 

Use: I need stakeholders to provide information on locations. One data point are services offered. I want to put all services in a drop down for the stakeholder to select multiple services for each location.

It would be great to have this functionality going forward as Airtable already has this working and we have run into many situations where having the multi-picklist option would be valuable.

We really need this funcitonality to work better with smartsheet. At the moment we have to make different columns for selecting all of our activities because the multiple-select functionality is not yet integrated in smartsheet.. I really hope that this functionality is beeing implented ASAP.

There's a work around but you won't like it.....

When I attended Engage last fall the SmartSheet team I asked said that this should be in by the end of the year but the workaround was to use the "Multiple Contact List" function.  I tried it and it is an awful workaround.

If you have another idea, I would like to hear it.

This is now pending since long can you please provide me an update on the development of the function, This is required in my project also as client needs this function where he will be able to select multiple options of their choice.

Do we have any target completion date

So after this being a thread since 2015 a ticket now has to be entered to see when it will be produced? There have been multiple statements from someone from the company stating that it was being worked on. Is this being development or not?

We understand the importance of this column type and appreciate your patience. I'm happy to say that it is currently under development. I'm not able to share an expected release date, as it takes a few months, but it is coming. As we progress, I will share what I can.
