Is there an automated email notification for Forms?

I see that there is a box to check to get an email when a form is submitted. Is there any automated functionality coming that this would be automatic base on the user submitting the form without having to check the box? Not sure why it doesn't just automatically do this the extra step of the check box is cumbersome and if someone overlooks this they don't get an email at all.

You can add a Workflow in the sheet that sends an automatic alert to the submitter.
