Filter a report by users email?

Hi everyone,

I have set up each PM in our company to receive an individual report based on who is listed in the "PM" column in engineering sheets filled out by each engineer.

The report for each PM combines the multiple sheets. I am concerned after doing a couple tests because smartsheets contact management seems to be slightly wonky. For instance, if somebody decides to change their contact name (for instance from Matthew to Matt), the filter set up may not work as it would be filtering by "Matthew" and not "Matt".

Is there a way to filter by email address only? It seems like the contact cells on the individual sheets only show the contact NAME of the contact, and there is no way to pull an email from that column. I don't see a formula-based way to pull the associated email out of the cell.

Have you tried to set the filter to Is One Of Current User? That solves the name change problem.
