How can I set Report widgets within a Dashboard to automatically update?

I am using multiple report widgets in a single Dashboard to show test result data. The only method for updating the widgets to show the latest data is to open the source sheet and save it. This would be labour intensive to have to manage each day.

I want this data to be live, or at least updated daily because I am reporting on dates/progress. Please advise on how I can keep my reports regularly updated without physically opening every one.

When using the TODAY function, it has to be triggered to update the sheet. My solution updates the sheet daily automatically, so you don't have to activate it.

When the Today Helper Workflow adds a new date entry, does that somehow prompt the report widgets to update? Do I need to add the Today Helper column in my Report widget?
