Can Assign People workflow add "current user" to contact cell in the Actions?

I would like to automatically populate a Contact Cell Column (called Associates) with the current user when they fill in a row. It does not seem possible and I am wondering if I am missing something. My workaround is using a fx in my contact column that basically says =[Modified by]@row.

But I'd prefer an automation if I could since my workaround populates my Associate cell with email address and I prefer to see person's name. Not a huge deal, just wondering if it was possible. Thanks!

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's not possible now, but it's an excellent idea!
