Tracking "Time at Current Stage"
Hi Guys
I have a question regards tracking comments/ current stage of ticket items
We have an export that is added via the Data Uploader which contains "Last Week" & "This Week" fields. We are hoping to expand the range by which we can track how long an item has been at a certain stage.
The idea is we add the file via the uploader and move every item one to the left to allow to provide an update for "This Week")
I am just wondering is there an easy way to count how long an item has been stuck at a stage? Is it just a case of doing a big nested IF AND formula, or can anyone think of a quicker way?
Thanks!

Hi @jg124
I hope you're well and safe!
You could use the Record a date feature and multiple so-called helper columns to register it and see and calculate the difference.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hey @Andrée Starå 😁
I'm not too familiar with the Record a Date feature, could you please elaborate? Is this a new(ish) feature? Have not come across it yet!
Thanks

Hey @Andrée Starå
Just had a look, don't think that will work as it is just recording dates (but can think of other use cases where I will be using that 😁)
I'm looking to count where string items highlighted orange are consecutive and = to "This Week" column on my sheet.
For example, if the W39 = W40 & W40 = LastWeek & LastWeek = ThisWeek, The "Time at current stage" would = 3 (Has been stuck at that stage for 3 weeks)
Is there a quicker formula you can think of rather than a big NESTED IF & AND formula? (As this will have to be updated on a weekly basis due to how this has been set up originally)
Thanks!

You're more than welcome!
Please have a look at my post below with a method I developed where you can store/lock the time.
