Dependency based on Status rather than Dates

Is there functionality available, in Grid View, that will allow you to identify tasks as dependents of other tasks, based on a Status field rather than a date column.

We have many task related projects that are not tracked by dates but are tracked by status.

    Hello there.

    When you say "dependents", are you meaning what Smartsheet calls "Predecessors"?

    Can you give an example or a use case for this?

    2023 update: I'm no longer working on Smartsheet stuff. I started working at Microsoft in 2022, plus I have 1-year-old twins at home and frankly, I don't have enough time to do Smartsheet anymore. It's been real, Smartsheeters!
