Sub tasks appearing in an Uncategorised column

When I setup sub tasks in Smartsheets Card view, they appear in an Uncategorised column as separate cards. How do I stop this? Thanks

Hi @looby52

This may make more sense if you take a look at your sheet in Grid View after adding the sub-task. A sub-task is a new row in Smartsheet, indented as a Child row beneath the Parent.

As a new row, it is a new Card as well, categorized as a "Level 2" Card. If you want it to be in the correct lane as well, you'll want to ensure you're adding the Lane values to that new row.

However, if you don't want to view these cards at all, you can adjust your Card View to only show "Level 1":
