Automated emails and cross-sheet updates

From sheet A an automation sends out an email. The same sheet A has a cell, where the cell value is pulled from sheet B. This value is built into beforementioned email.

When the automation runs, the changes in sheet B are only coming through to A, and subsequently into the auto email, if A has been opened after B was updated and before the automation runs

Is there a way for that change in sheet B to come through to sheet A without having to open A? I have no other reason to open A in this case. So when I forget, my changes in sheet B are not showing in the auto email… Annoying!
