Drop-down choice based on rows in another sheet

Is it possible to define the single choice column, for which possible choices are loaded from another sheet?

For example, I created a nomenclature sheet for issue types. I use it to define (via VLOOKUP) a issue code prefix based on selected type. But the choice of types itself I have to type in the consumer sheet. So, when I discover a need for another type, it is easy to add a new mapping (aka "Risk" has a code "RSK") but then I have to modify choices of issue types in each sheet with "Issue Type" column.

Having the choices loaded based on sheet reference would solve many maintenance problems.

Unfortunately, it is not possible :(

Upon further review, this is currently not supported in Smartsheet, however this is a great idea! When you can, please submit an enhancement request on this to have this functionality be considered for future development in Smartsheet.
