Not updated Jira tickets status in Smartsheet (using Jira connector and JQL filter in Smartsheet WF)

Hi all,

I have a question - I use the Jira connector and use the filter in Smartsheet WF (use JQL ) to gather Jira tickets to the Smartsheet, but some tickets Statuses have not been updated in Smartsheet since changed in Jira tickets.

Tell me please what the reason can be?

P.S. In Smartsheet WF using JQL filter I'm unfiltering all tickets with status 'Done' and when the appropriate ticket become in Jira status 'Done' it does not reflect in the Smartsheet and status is not updated to 'Done'

Thank you.

    Hi @Ihor Ivanisenko

If I'm understanding you correctly, you've set up a Jira Workflow to sync tickets across Jira and Smartsheet. In the Workflow, you're filtering tickets based on their status, so if they say "Done" they are no longer synced in the workflow.

However, this means that since tickets that say "Done" are no longer synced, your Smartsheet rows don't update with the "Done" status.

In this instance, rows that are now "Done" should be appearing under the "Filtered Out by Connector—Not Synced" section of your sheet, is that correct? See: How to Use "Filtered Out by Connector—Not Synced"

If you want rows in Smartsheet to update with the new status, then you may need to adjust your filter in the workflow to allow rows to continue to sync after they are marked as "Done". See: Using Field Mapping & Filters

    Cheers,

    Genevieve

  • Hi @Genevieve P. ,

Thank you for the answer. Yes, as soon as tickets status in Jira become 'Done' appropriate line in Smartsheet no longer update and I did not see the status 'Done' and this line (ticket) is not moved to "Filtered Out by Connector—Not Synced" section, just leave the previous status.
