Report not printing as shown on screen
I have created a report with one group and two summaries. It looks good on my screen but when I go to print the report, it does not show the grouping or the summaries. I have deleted the report and recreated it and it still does print correctly. I also tried to export to a .pdf or Excel and neither one of those reports were correct either.
Can someone help me get this report to print like what is on the screen?
Thanks,
Janelle

Hi @Janelle
I hope you're well and safe!
Unfortunately, the grouping feature when printing hasn't been released yet.
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hi Andrée,
It is close to a year since your last update, how far away is Smartsheet on releasing "Report not printing as shown on screen" or posting an update as to a release date?
Thank you
Gail

Any update? How has it been so long without this update.
-
I haven't seen an update about reports printing as the show on the screen. Do you have an update?
-
I'll chime in here too. This is definitely an important feature that still does not appear to be implemented. Any update on the status of this feature?
-
I would like to see this implemented as well. It would allow us to use Smartsheet with our external clients in a professional and efficient way.

Adding my vote to this. Would be really helpful to print as it appears on screen.

The report needs to print as it appears on screen for sure. What's the point otherwise. I can email it in the format I want - with only the columns I want as showing up as rows - but I can't print it without all columns showing! This the final piece in my smartsheet journey- getting the data out at the end as a pdf with the columns I need showing as rows. Please fix this obvious error asap.

Following!! I really need this to print the way it appears on screen!

I have the same question/comment/concern. I am trying to come up with a procedure to train my colleagues in printing the row that represents a new project to which they have been assigned, for the benefit of my supervisor who needs a convenient way to view it. But it would be super helpful if they could hide rows and print a more consolidated report. When I go to print a row, it seems to give the option to include (or, by not selecting the check box indicated in the screenshot below which is the default, to exclude) the hidden columns. But this button makes no difference. Why have it there if it does nothing?
-
I understand that there are a lot of work that goes into programing, however, it would be nice to at least get some sort of feedback from smartsheet as to when the report printing could possibly be released.
