Calendar View from Grid with Linked Cell (as Dates) not Populating Calendar
I have a calculations grid that summarizes a large data set (populated by formulas against a main grid). To do this, I had to create helper cells that are rather ugly and should not be seen by my audience. As a result, I created a new Grid (Reporting Grid) that is linked to the calculations grid. It's a grid made up of linked cells to the calculations. When I put the Reporting Grid into Calendar view, I do not see anything. The columns are set to date format in the source, calculations and reporting grid. Any ideas?

Thank you! I realized my company has the pivot tool through smartsheet which has solved all the problems! Appreciate the prompt reply.

@Paul Newcome I see you all over this site dishing out extremely helpful responses. Thoughts on the above conundrum? Can Linked Cells with date values NOT display on a calendar view? Even when I make a report of the data it won't work.

Hi @Adam N
I hope you're well and safe!
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

@Adam N Instead of creating a separate grid to keep your audience from seeing your helper columns, couldn't you just hide them?
As for dates not showing on the Calendar View... I have not tested Calendar View, but I can say from experience that columns housing column formulas cannot be used as the date columns in Gantt View.
I am glad you were able to find a working solution leveraging Pivot though.
