Use the results of an form submission to modify one or more data on a sheet.

I have a client who created a simple inventory sheet with part numbers and quantities. He would like to create an order form where the items to select are in inventory. When the form is submitted adjust the inventory amounts by the quantity ordered on the form for the selected items.

Can this be done?

I assume that his means there will be a dropdown with product names or product numbers, but only the items that are available. The problem is that the choices in a dropdown field are not dynamic. Not natively at least. You might be able to do it with the API.
