Notification on date column
Hi, I want to create a notification for when someone other than the project manager, changes a date in a date column ('Start' and 'Finish'). No-one else except for the PM should be able to do this because the column is locked and no-one else has Admin or Owner permissions; however the cell history tells us another user has, so we seem to be encountering a bug and have raised a ticket separately. I now want to set up a notification so if this happens again, we can at least be alerted to it.

Hi LisaB:-),
First you add "Modified by" column. It's a system-generated column.
Then create an alert workflow that triggered by Start/End change and check the condition of the PM email as below
Hope that helps.

Create your new workflow:
Trigger: When a row is changed, when Start changes to (select Any Value from the drop down, OR when Finish changes to (select Any Value from the drop down.) Run workflow: When triggered
Condition: where Modified By is not one of (select <Project Manager's login> from the drop down.)
Action: Alert someone
