Alert someone

I have a user who assigned someone to a task but when she tries to add him to the Alert Someone-Alert a specific user, his name is not showing in the list. When I try the same, his name is displaying for me. She has other users assigned to tasks in the sheet and was able to add them to the Alerts. She has closed/reopened Smartsheet and same issue. Any thoughts of what is happening?

If the user isn't added to your account via User Management, it will not show up as a global contact.

If you go to your smartsheet contacts via the user menu at the bottom right, you can see your contacts. Either the other user needs to add them to a sheet for the first time to get the contact into their contact list, or they need to add the contact manually via this menu option.

The user has been a user, added thru user management, for quite a while. He's been assigned tasks and is assigned tasks on the sheet itself. He's just not showing as an option when trying to add him to notifications in a workflow. His name appears for me when I add him to notifications, just not for a particular sheet owner.
