Sorting by Date in Card View

I was hoping this was a simple item, but I plan on having hundreds of items in a dozen or more lanes on a card view, and I thought it would be simple to assume I could put the most current item (date) at the top of the lane without having to drag it to the top :-(. Alas, I see this is not only not a feature, but it seems to have gone unnoticed in the forums for years.

Is this on the product roadmap? I can't imagine it is that complex of a functionality change. Am I missing something?

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• Using Card View in a Report instead and use the Sort feature (untested)

I will take a look and let you know. The short answer is I like the drag flexibility of entering data in directly on the card view but wish that it would force sort any new items by date to the top instead of the bottom. I tend to care more about the most recent entries.

For now, I think my best option on the card view is just to use the Insert Above option.

I still think we need to push for forced sorting by values in the card view. I can't be the only one that thinks this would be helpful.

Sorting by Date in Card View

This would be a fantastic enhancement.

Has the sort by date in card view been added? I really need it to automatically push items with the closest due dates to the top of my lanes.

Hello Andree,

I tried this solution today because it would have been very helpful for some of our Kanbans but when you switch to Card View the rows of the report automatically move back to their default positions instead of the sorted position from row view.
