Hi -

I am looking to build an inventory smartsheet, but am having difficulty setting it up. I am not a guru...

We want to input all of our inventory by barcodes (auto populating and grouping same-type products) into our main warehouse. From there, we want to scan those barcodes and deduct x amount of inventory to our smaller departments (Department A and Department B). We were thinking three different sheets (Warehouse A, Department A, Department B).

The main difficulty I am having is making our barcodes auto-populate with product information (ie. name and amount) and group into one row each upon scanning, rather than a different row/line each time a barcode is scanned. I also can not figure out how to deduct inventory from the main sheet and add it to our smaller departments.

ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!! :)
