New Checkbox Features in Automations

Now that the Checkbox column had the flag option, I am finding it doesn't appear as an option in setting up an automation. I have a column titled NEW that I have selected as a flag, but it doesn't appear as an option to select in a workflow. However my other checkbox column DONE is an option and is set as a regular checkbox. I'm stumped....I am trying to have the flag turn on when new tasks are added.

If the flag option is not appearing copy the flag and paste it into the drop box.
