PSA: Conditional Formatting Stopped Working

I went through hell trying to figure out what is causing my conditional formatting to suddenly stop working when it was working perfectly in the past. My sheet is shared by 104 people. After many hours scratching my head and calling support we figured out the issue. SOMEONE TURNED ON HIGHLIGHT CHANGES and made the background color WHITE! That was overwriting my conditional formatting. I hope this helps someone.
