Dashboard Line Chart - Automatically Update

I have a Dashboard created with a Line Chart in place that plots simple data points 'as of' a certain date.

I have a Data Shuttle that updates the source sheet each Friday with a new data point.

Is there a way to get the Line Chart to automatically recognize that a new row / data point was added to the source sheet? Example below shows how a new data point of "41" was added on 8/24/22 but you can see that the chart area only goes down to row 6. Is there a way to select the entire column and have it update dynamically?

Have you explored changing the source to a Report instead? (that would keep it updated automatically)

Include some blanks rows in your chart data selection

Thanks @Paul H - I had tried to do that (to select additional blank rows) but it would autocorrect and remove / ignore those.

Thanks @Andrée Starå - I always forget that we can use Reports to chart data! This worked. Although it's annoying that I have to have a Sheet to read in the data and then a Report to create a chart...but it worked! Thank you!

@Amanda Gilroy For me this is working, each week a new row is added and the chart on the dashboard is updated, I don't have to reselect chart data every week
