'Refresh to See updates' returns you to the top of the Smartsheet / lose your place

When someone else updates a Smartsheet and it prompts you to refresh it .... Smartsheet does not return to the position you were in the Smartsheet - it puts you back at the start /top.

The other issue here is that Smartsheet does NOT support two people working on the same smartsheet at the same time - unlike Office on-line or Google Sheets changes made by other users are NOT dynamic.

Both very poor user experiences :(

When will this be fixed / Smartsheet brought 'up to date' ?

I have noticed this same issue and have be frustrated by it. Instead of refreshing try saving (Ctrl+S). In my limited experience the changes should appear within 30 seconds to a minute. If not then use refresh.

I was recently testing a formula I had develop which was pulling from a data sheet. I would make changes on the data sheet and save my changes then go to my metric sheet with the formulas and save that sheet. The changes would then show. It could be that I had both Smartsheets "open". I have not tested it to see if it would work if someone else had the data sheet open and made changes and I only had the metric sheet open and selected to save instead of refreshing.

Let me know what you find, or if you find any other solutions.

@SCAMikeG I agree this is a very frustrating function especially with many users in same sheet and hundreds of lines. @SCAMikeG I am also having the same experience with save changes - Extremely frustrating and adding significant time to my work. Added to the suggestions @PDunn great tip
