Do All Dates Need to be Populated for Gantt View?
I am using Smartsheet to track the beginning and end of tech support tickets and wanted to view completed tickets in Gantt view so I can illustrate how many tickets are overlapping and visually represent how long these tickets take to complete to upper management. I have 2 date columns, however the sheet keeps kicking back an error saying I need to have 2 date columns. Do these columns need to have dates filled out completely for the whole sheet for Gantt to work? If so, I'll just automate completed tickets moving to another sheet, but I wanted to keep things all centralized in one place if possible. Thanks in advance!

Hi Justin,
Check the Project Settings for a sheet. And make sure the two columns are in the start and finish drop downs, in the Dependency Settings section . See help doc at the following link.
Let me know if you have anymore questions, thanks.

Connor,
Thanks for the quick response! It appears my date columns have formulas. Does that mean my dates can't have any automation?
