disconnecting deleted columns

I added a "latest comment" column and a few cells had irrelevant information which I went and deleted. However, it still displayed the latest comment that was deleted.

I thought that deleting and re-adding the column would fix the issue but I get the following message "this column was deleted. Disconnect the deleted column before creating a new one."

Not sure you you disconnect a column!
