Syncing Smartsheet to Company Directory

Hi all

I am working on a workflow and would like my Smartsheet to automatically notify a persons manager when something is entered. I cant figure out how (or if I can) get Smartsheet to sync with our employee directory.

    Hi @brianw

    I hope you're well and safe!

    You could create a directory sheet and then use a cross-sheet formula combined with INDEX/MATCH to collect the email for the Alert.

    Make sense?

    Would the directory sheet link to the active employee directory? I am hoping to connect it to the active directory so it will update automatically as the list could have hundreds of names and I dont have a good way of knowing when changes occur outside of my organization.
