Error Message: "Rows cannot be added to the destination sheet..." for my Copy Row Automation?
Hello All,
How can we fix this error? The only change that was made was to the destination sheet and it was to change the owner from one person to another. Would that have anything to do with it?
Here is the error in my workflow:
Thanks!

Whoever is the owner of the workflow needs to also have at least Editor permissions on the target sheet.
-
@Paul Newcome - The owner of the of the workflow is an Admin of target sheet. However, the owner of the workflow is not the owner of the target sheet. Does the new owner of the target sheet need to be the one who is the owner of the workflow as well?
-
They also need to have appropriate permissions on the source sheet as well. Try setting them up as an Admin on the source sheet.

Source sheet owner is Admin
Destination Sheet is Owner
When selecting the Destination sheet, not all workspaces are given as an option and the destination is not one of the three workspaces offered by the Prompt.
-
@Joe swanson Have you checked to see if it was in the Sheets folder?
-
I know/own the workspace the target sheet is in. In the workflow, when selecting the target, only three of 20+ workspaces I have access to or own are provided as an option. Not all workspaces are available in the dialogue.

Nor is Sheets provided as an option...

And both people have admin or owner permissions on both sheets?

From my experience the error is caused when you change a column type in your source sheet and fail to update the destination column type in your desitination sheet. example: If you have Row ID column in the source that is type "Text/Number" and your destination sheet Row ID is type "Auto Number". Correct the destination sheet column type to match the source column type, save changes, and then you can open your copy row automation in your source sheet, click save and the error should clear if all of your destination column types match your source sheet column types. 🙂
