If I set an automation to ask for an approval is there a way to set an automation to send a reminder

I have set up an automation to send out a request for approval when it is triggered. The problem is some approvers are not responding to the approval request.

Is there a way to set up an automation to send out a reminder to the approver in a specified time frame?

Yes. You could add the Record a Date Action as the last step, register the date, and then add another Workflow that triggers if the Approval hasn't been answered.
