Project Plans-Extracting Specific Tasks to a Report based on a Checked Column

I have several projects in Smartsheets and each has a team lead. Each week they are asked to review the task list and confirm that all is on/off track. If any tasks are seen in their judgement as at risk or needing to be discussed for any other reason by our steering committee, I have asked them to check a box in a 'index' column in the project smartsheet. I would then like to have a report for each project that can extract only the rows/tasks that have the check box in the index column. How to do this most efficiently? Thanks !

I have been generating the report and within that report applying a filter to display only those rows with a check box. Is this a good approach?
