  • Adding my name to the list of people who would really appreciate this development. I would also add that I would like to be able to manipulate the page break like you can in an Excel spreadsheet to avoid bigger rows being subdivided awkwardly.

I would also like this option! It would be easier than creating three dashboards, saving them as PDFs and then combining them.

I would also like this option when printing dashboards/reports to Executives. Also option to repeat top row headers like Excel.

  • Hi

Will this e considered for roadmap? Its an important feature for all Project managers. When we create status dashboards we need to take a snapshot in PDF as the dashboard continuously updates based on other sheets. Having the ability to save as PDF so it can be emailed to executive is very important. It takes me 15-30 mins everytime I need to do this. I drag the widget size so a table/widget doesn't split across 2 pages. Its quite cumbersome.

Echoing other comments, a page break feature would be helpful.

  • This would be a great option

Yes, this would be a very helpful asset.

Like another user mentioned, the ability to create a header to apply across pages would also be awesome. In our case, the header would be one or more report/metric widgets.

Our ideal page content would be a large data summary that would post across pages, with the column headers showing on each page.

It would also be good to have Footer capabilities.

    Voting this up

  • I'd like to show my support for this idea as well. Currently, we have many dashboards that are 10+ pages long that must be printed and submitted to clients, however almost every page break is cutting right through some important information.

It is a very tedious and frustrating process to fix. We need to print the document to see the print preview, see where a page break interrupts some data, exit out of the preview, adjust the dashboard, access the preview again to see if it is aligned better, and repeat. And of course, when we adjust one page, the pages below it are then misaligned as well and need to be adjusted. Perhaps most frustratingly, the grid on a dashboard does not have the same dimensions as a cell in a sheet or report, so it can never be perfectly aligned.

Even a simple dashed line to show where a page break occurs that can be seen when editing a dashboard layout would cut down on a lot of the wasted time spent opening the print preview, waiting for it to load, and scrolling to the relevant page.

  • I would also like to echo the comments that page break print functionality would be helpful for dashboards, reports, sheets, etc.

It would also be very useful:

    • If the grid in the dashboard could be more parameter driven – i.e. 0.5cm each, or 1/4 inch, or pixel-based, or 16:9 or 4:3 screen ratio.

    • If we could insert manual page breaks so follow-on pages don’t get impacted,

    • If we could have auto-sized report widgets, printed page margins.

    etc.

Can we please prioritise some/many of these ‘for everyone-everyday’ high impact improvements, ahead of the ‘behind-the-scenes for relatively few folks’ changes to the likes of Brandfolder/filestacker, File Library, and API, etc.
