Show Form Submission Email as coming from user logged in

It would be helpful to my group to be able to show a Forms submission as coming from the user who completed the form. We are going to use this functionality to submit service desk tickets, and it is part of the functionality of the service desk software to log the email an email is sent from and use that email to respond to the ticket creator.

This is a feature which would help so much, as the workflow one can create just isn't the same! It would be great to have the option of the 'send me a copy of my responses' could be set-up to go to a specified e-mail address, or the creator.

is there development to use this feature without requiring a Smartsheet login? We have a number of people who submit form and having the functionality to re-produce the email version of the form they’ve submitted would be a game changer- changer!

If the Form isn't accessed by signing in, then there's no way for it to tell who submitted that information.

You could add in a required email field (column in the sheet) into the form for them to fill out! Then you can use that column as the "contact" in your alert workflow. 🙂

However it sounds like you're actually discussing something different to this Product Idea / suggestion of gathering emails. Hi Genevieve, yes this issue came up again so I went to check the status and found the above, not the other thread you mention so figured may as well comment! Yes I currently have a work-around with a workflow that has the fields included from the form sent in an email, however to get a version of the ‘send me my submission’ that can go to selected users / email addresses would be a game changer
