Feature Request-Bullets in Cells
I am sure this has come up before, but I couldn't find it in a search for bullets. I am trying to use Smartsheet for proposals and it would be so helpful to be able to format a long list of items with bullets. I realize I can create them with bullets in a text editor and paste them in, but it would be much easier to work directly in Smartsheet. They don't come in clean or can be easily edited.

I know this isn't the best solution but have you tried to put bullets in one cell? For example: while in a cell hit "Control & Enter" then you can add a a bullet point by hitting "Alt 0149".
-
Yes, I do that manually, but it is not a good solution for wrapping bullet points. It seems like it might be an easy fix someday.

Thanks Stan - your vote has been recorded!

Just wanted to upvote this one as well.
I'm developing a feature matrix where it's really handy to have a bulleted list.
Alt-0149 can be made to work but it isn't elegant.
Cheers...Todd

I have added your vote, Todd!

I would like to be able to add bulleted lists within Smartsheet as well. It would be particular useful for:
- Multiple comments associated with a single task/line
- Organization of information that is not necessarily a sub-task
- Legibility of large note/comment fields we want to display on the main sheet
Since this is a couple years old and the feature still doesn't exist, I'm not hopeful, but want to cast my vote in favor anyway...

I realize this is an older post but i'll try to reply because i need assistance.
I've tried entering Alt 0149 and I don't get any results. How specifically do you do it with Alt 0149?
-
I could not get ALT 0149 to work on my Dell. I have no numeric keypad.
If you have one, this is the way is it is SUPPOSED to work:
Turn on Num Lock (activate the numeric keypad)
Hold down the ALT key.
Type in the 4 digit number using the numeric keypad.
That is supposed to return a character from the ALT code list.
Problem is that the lists don't always match up or display the complete list.

What ALT 0149 key should return is the bullet circle character.
....
What I did was just get the character

by going to the Character Map (Windows 10). and copy/pasting it.
I think I have a solution for this, but haven't worked out all the kinks yet. It might end up on my customer-only pile, because it is taking a while to get it right.

I'd like to cast my vote for bullets as well. I'm surprised that this feature still hasn't been added.

Me too! This is very annoying. We are trying to use Smartsheet reports for status reports but they look pretty awful / hard to read without the hanging indent paragraph format that comes with standard bulleted lists. Until we get that, we continue to copy and paste into powerpoint and email.

Has this been added as an enhancement? Would be nice to just have it on the toolbar. It should include numbers as well.
Thanks

Has this been fixed, it would be so handy to have it as a toolbar function. The ALT0149 is frustrating and not user friendly.
