Auto Sort Sheet
Hi there,
Is there functionality to have an auto sort of data so that I don't have to sort it every time I adjust something? Similar to Excel, where it remembers your sort order?

- Have you explored using a Report instead?

I have the same Question as the OP, anyone know if there is a funtion within sheets to auto sort, or the only solution is the create reports?

Reports will automatically Sort based on their set-up, but sheets currently do not have this functionality (see: Sort Rows to Organize Your Data)

Using Reports for auto sorting is not good enough. It's a simple function for auto sorting that will make Smartsheet smarter and better than excel!

I have to agree. having a sheet, then needing to create a report JUST to sort the data is a kludge, at best. It would seem adding this functionality to an automation would be perfect.

I saw a lot of people asking for this feature, so I built a browser extension (SSFeatures) that solves this.
With SSFeatures, you'll find a "Sort Automatically" button in Smartsheet. Once you click this button, your data will automatically sort whenever it changes.
