Is there a way to have text repeat all the way down the primary column?
Is there a way to have text repeat all the way down the primary column, even when new rows are added without having to manually enter? I am trying to use this as a helper column so this is what displays in the calendar.

Excellent!
You could add something like this and convert it to a column formula. (It would show Paper Check Due on each new row)
="Paper Check Due"
I noticed now that it's not possible to use a workflow to change the cell in the Primary Column, so the best option is probably the first option.
Would that work/help?

Hi @Alicia D
I hope you're well and safe!
You could create a column formula that populates each cell with the same text or use a workflow to fill in the cell each time a new row is added.
Would any of those options work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

@Andrée Starå , both of those options would be great! Could you walk me through how to do both?

You could also just create a drop-down box with that as the answer and make it "default", then each new row it will be added automatically.

Thank you @Andrée Starå , that worked! Do you know if it is possible to do the same with the date column, except have it repeat every 6 months by examples. Weekly, yearly, examples like that? I would like for the due date column to go all the way down as well without me having to manually enter it.

Excellent!
Happy to help!
- If you're using dependencies, you could use the same duration on each row and then have the predecessors go from row to row.
- Another option is to add the pattern somewhere (I added a sheet summary field) and include a formula in the end date to reference it.
Something like this. (Add = before the formula)
Make sense?

@Andrée Starå , thank you for the help. I have gone ahead and created a sheet summary. Although I am struggling to figure out the formulas in the due date column. I have also enabled dependancies, but I was not sure about next steps for that as well. Would you be able to walk me through both of your options above? Apologies, I am pretty new to smartsheets!
