Hi All!

My name is Lauren and I currently live in North Carolina but have lived a little bit of everywhere in the US (the PNW and Colorado are probably my favorite spots to have lived). I am in my final semester of my Masters of Science program in Sustainability and Environment and work as a Stewardship Specialist. I utilize Smartsheet for project management and tracking amongst our teams.

I am a mom of two teens and a basset hound. I enjoy hiking and exploring new trails, gardening and photography (I was a professional photographer for about a decade).

I am from the great state of Texas. I am a Design Systems Program Manager, where I utilize all available tools and process optimization techniques to maximize my organization's effectiveness. This leads me to why I am here in the Smartsheet world. I was on the hunt to find software to make the PMO I work in more streamlined and collaborative. Then, BOOM! Smartsheet enters the chat! My favorite feature is the easy to use Sheet reference in cellinking.

My name is Carrie, and I am new to the community, but have been working in SS for almost a year now. I am excited at all of the possibilities that SS has for my company and peers! I took on the task of building a project management tool for my department and since then it has grown into more of a back-office platform. This project has been time consuming but exciting and rewarding at the same time. I love being able to help my peers gain access to tools that save them time and give them access to information that was previously difficult or impossible to obtain.

Fate has a sneaky way of guiding you down the path you're meant to be on. Out of the blue in a parking lot waiting on our son's football team to arrive back from an away game, I was approached by another parent with a job opportunity that led me to changing my career after 21 years. That was 7 years ago and was the best thing I could have done for me and my family. It is also an example of how hard work pays off! Keep grinding away, people do notice even if you are unaware. I now work in project management for a company that proscribes, engineers, builds, and installs fire suppression for special hazards within industrial and manufacturing environments.

When I am not at work I enjoy time with my family. Life has thrown us quite a few curveballs over the years and we are finally in a place where all is calm. And calm is GREAT!! I will celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary this year with someone that I have been with more years then without, and he still makes me laugh. We recently watched our daughter marry her high school sweetheart after graduating college and we are anxiously awaiting the next chapter in our lives where we will become Grandparents (someday).

What I've learned and would like to leave you with...Life goes by too fast to waste it. Say yes! Take the leap and dare to be happy. If you are miserable then chances are you are making others miserable. Don't be selfish. Small gestures when someone is going through a tough time are HUGE to that person. Try not to worry, if you can fix then do it, if you can't, then give it up to your faith and let it go! Laugh, and laugh often, it truly is the best medicine.
