Card View blank in public published view
Hello everyone!
I have been experiencing a strange issue since last Wednesday (Feb 7th), where the public view of the reports I created show up as blank in the Card View. However in other views, the information appears without issue. Logging into my account and viewing the report there in card view works, its just the public published URL Card View that isn't working.
Has anyone else run into this? For the life of me I can't seem to find what I'm missing or if perhaps its some sort of bug. It was working prior to that Wednesday (at least when we noticed it broke).
Thank you in advance!

Thank you for detailing your issue and for contacting Support - I checked in with them and they confirmed that this is a known issue that's being investigated. Reports published to "anyone available with the link" in Card View are showing 0's instead of the expected data.
I don't have an ETA when this will be resolved but we are actively working on it. In the meantime you can either adjust the permission level on the published item or adjust the View to show data in your published report.
Cheers,
Genevieve

Hello,
Thank you for addressing this @Michael Casalaspro and @Genevieve P. . I am running into this issue as well. We are Enterprise users and recently purchased the Collaboration Pack so we could share WorkApps with our clients. This feature is critical to our WorkApp designs and adjusting the view is not a good solution for my clients.
I understand that Smartsheet is investigating but just wanted to let you know this is critical for my team.
Thank you,
Christy

My team and I are having the same issues. Any updates on when this will be resolved?

My team and I are having the same issues. Please advise an appropriate timeframe for this to be resolved by. Thank you!

Hi all. Any updates regarding this issue & timeline for resolution? Thanks!

@Genevieve P. As a workaround you mention change of permission level. Would you please advise which option will make the report visible. I tried the 3 available levels yesterday with no success. Thanks, Diana

I know the engineering team are currently working on this - I just tested now and my own Card View published Report with all levels showing is displaying the cards correctly, in all permission options. I haven't had confirmation that it's been fully fixed yet, but it looks to be working for me! Can you log out then in again and test again?
Thanks!
Genevieve

I believe that it only works when I'm already logged into Smartsheet. But if I'm opening the view from a fresh browser, the issue remains.

Hi @Genevieve P.,
Thanks for your quick reply. I am currently using the "available to anyone with the link" option. The reports are visible for me since the very beginning but no one else can see them on the dashboard. I am sharing a screenshot.
Hi @Michael Casalaspro,
Thanks for the tip, we tried it but unfortunately no success.

Hi all,
My apologies - you are correct, this is still being worked on.
@Diana Stambolova in order for the content to be visible in Card view in a Published Report, you would need to adjust the published sharing permissions to be more restrictive than available to anyone. Try using the next option, where it's visible to users in your own specific account.

Hi @Genevieve P.
Thanks, I tried the other 2 options as well, same result.
Do you have any expected TAT on when this can be resolved?
-
I am also experiencing this issue. Is there an ETA for the fix?
-
I tested this today and the card view in public url appears to be working for myself, as well as other users. Is it safe to say this issue has been resolved?
-
Hey @Michael Casalaspro - yes, you're correct! I have just received word that this should now be fixed. 🙂
