Hello everyone! I've been a smart sheet user for less than a year, but I love using it for creative, analytical, win-win solutions. I recently built an onboarding/ever-boarding workflow system for our division at the UO with 3 dashboards, a few forms, automated notifications, task lists, etc. I have a lot more to learn, but I'd love to connect with others who are using it in higher education. Are there any fellow University of Oregon (UO) users in this community?
Hi! I’m also a Smartsheet user in higher education, and it’s exciting to hear about your onboarding system—it sounds like a fantastic setup! While I’m not at UO, I work at a university, and we use Smartsheet for student tracking and event management. It’s such a flexible tool for streamlining workflows. Would love to hear how others in higher ed are using it!
We are using it to onboard all of our new staff (new positions and offboarding as well) for division-wide items that we want covered for all new staff. I built in automations and timelines so that an email reminder & list goes to those who need to be involved in the onboarding pre-arrival, first day, first week, first month, first 3 months, etc. I also built dashboards for the new staff. One as a general welcome dashboard and one as an onboarding systems dashboard. We have 3 units in our division and then we post an additional unit training SS to the Welcome dashboard.
